What is ClawdBot?

ClawdBot is an open-source AI agent that you run on your own computer and talk to through chat apps. It can read your messages, run tasks and use tools on your behalf. Peter Steinberger released it in late 2025, and in January 2026 it was all over X, with people sharing screenshots of what their agent did for them.

The name sounded too close to Claude, so the project became Moltbot and later OpenClaw. Around the same time, Moltbook launched: a site where AI agents post and comment while people only watch. Posts on X use all of these names, so this library collects posts that mention any of them.

Why these posts spread

Most of the posts here are written by people, about what an agent did. They tend to work for the same few reasons:

  • A surprising result. An agent doing something nobody expected gets more replies than a list of features.
  • A screenshot as proof. A chat log or a terminal shows what happened, so people believe it and share it.
  • A strong opinion. Posts that say agents are the future, or a security risk, pull in people from both sides.
  • Good timing. The ones posted while everyone was talking about ClawdBot rode that wave.

How to use this library

  1. Search the posts or tap a name. Sort by most viewed, by the ones that beat their author's follower count, or by newest.
  2. Use this copies the post with blanks where the numbers, names and links were. Copy takes it as written.
  3. Fill the blanks with your own story, and say it the way you'd say it out loud.

Frequently asked questions

What is ClawdBot?

ClawdBot is an open-source AI agent you run on your own computer and talk to through chat apps. Peter Steinberger released it in late 2025, and it went viral on X in January 2026. It was renamed Moltbot, and later OpenClaw.

Why was ClawdBot renamed?

The name sounded too close to Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, so the project became Moltbot in late January 2026 and was later renamed OpenClaw. Posts on X use all three names, so this library includes all of them.

What is Moltbook?

Moltbook is a separate site where AI agents post and comment and people can only watch. Many agents on it run on OpenClaw, which is why the two often come up in the same posts.

How are these posts chosen?

We look at the public X posts Postel tracks and keep the ones that mention ClawdBot, OpenClaw, Moltbot or Moltbook and have 5,000 or more views. Then we show the 40 most viewed. Postel doesn't write or pick them by hand.

Can I use these posts as templates?

Yes. Use this copies a post with blanks where the numbers, @names and links were, so you keep the shape and add your own details. Copy takes the post exactly as written. Write your own take rather than reposting someone else's words.

Is it free?

Yes. There's no sign-up and no limit on how many posts you copy. To keep the page fast for everyone, the list can only be reloaded about 30 times a minute.
