How to turn a post into an image

Three steps. Everything happens in your browser.

  1. 01

    Write the post

Type or paste your text, add up to four images, and set your name, handle and photo.

  2. 02

    Style the card

Pick light, dim or dark, a background color or image, and how much space goes around the card. Show or hide the date and numbers.

  3. 03

    Download or copy

Save a PNG or JPEG at twice the screen size, or copy it and paste it into a carousel, a slide or a newsletter.

What is a tweet card?

A tweet card is an image of a post drawn the way X (Twitter) shows it: photo, name, handle, text and numbers, on a clean background. People share them on LinkedIn, Instagram and in slides, where a link to X would show up as a plain link or not at all.

This builder draws the card in your browser. You write the text, set the details and download a sharp PNG or JPEG.

Where tweet cards work best

Tweet cards work best when one short idea needs to travel to a place that isn't X. A single sharp line reads well in a carousel or a slide. Long threads don't: keep each card to one thought, and split a thread into several cards.

WhereWhat worksTip
LinkedIn carouselOne idea per cardUse the same theme and background on every card
Instagram postA quote or a lessonAdd space around the card so it sits well in a square
SlidesA reaction or a proof pointPick None as the background for a see-through PNG
NewsletterA post you're replying toKeep the numbers on, they give context

Card or screenshot?

Use this builder for your own words, or a draft you haven't posted yet. To share a post that's already on X, use the tweet screenshot tool instead: it loads the real post from its link, so the text and numbers are exactly right.
